Ministries & Opportunities

Faith Alliance Church is an Acts 1:8 church dedicated to seeing the Gospel spread to the ends of the earth.  We have a number of ministries designed both to reach our communities and to provide nurture and spiritual growth to our members and guests.

Celebration Service

Our weekly Celebration Service begins at 10:45 each Sunday morning and features praise and worship, a message from our pastor and Childrens Church for our youngsters.  A baby nursery is provided.

Junior Church / 4th & 5th Grade Bible Study

Teaching geared to our younger children during the Celebration Service.

Sunday School

Sunday School for all ages begins at 9:30 AM and runs to 10:30 AM.  Classes vary and include adult classes, as well as age appropriate classes for children.

Worship and Music Ministry

The Worship and Music ministry consists of six teams of worship singers who alternate leading the singing and are joined each week by our praise band.  This ministry is directed by our Worship leader, Katie Bordell.

Our choir meets for seasonal musical productions and cantatas under the direction of Jerry Just.

Nursery

Our newest ministry caters to our youngest folks.  The baby nursery opened this past fall and is under the direction of Meg Richards.

Stand in the Gap

“Stand in the Gap” is our corporate prayer ministry.  Each Wednesday night from 7PM to 8PM we meet to pray for each other and the needs of the church.

Outreach Ministries

Throughout the year Faith Alliance is committed to bringing the Word of God to any and all who will listen.  We have several outreaches designed to be faithful in accomplishing this in our area.

True Vine Ministry – an outreach to our sister church in Northeast Philadelphia.

The Grove Ministry – a seasonal monthly outreach to our neighbors living in Pitman Grove.

Vacation Bible School – held each summer to provide a time of fun, singing, crafts and learning about Jesus for the children of our community.

Live Nativity – a live, interactive portrayal of the events surrounding the birth of our Savior.

Plays and Dramas – put on by church members and open to our community.

Faith Alliance also presented an Easter drama entitled, “The Door.”  The story of Jesus’ life, death and resurrection was portrayed through music and drama.  Nearly every member of the church was involved in some capacity, ranging from food preparation to singing in the choir to building a set for the drama.  Throughout all the work that was put into the drama, the church family gave God all the glory for what He was able to do with a faithful few.
