Winter Sunday School Classes

New adult classes will begin on Sunday, February 5, 2012. Jerry Just will lead the men, and Patty Just will lead the ladies. Both classes will be studying the book “The Prodigal God” by Timothy Keller. On February 5, each class will watch a 40-minute introductory video, and then in subsequent classes there will be discussion of portions of the book.

Bring the whole family to Sunday School – there is something for everyone – and bask in God’s Word!

Youth Group News

LIFE 2013 – it will be here before you know it! Life 2013 will be held July 9-13, 2013 in St. Louis, MO. We are already making plans to take a group of our youth to this exciting event that only takes place every three years! Stay tuned! Alliance Women – Ladies’ Night Out

Oooh, the Fragrance of Chocolate! The next Ladies’ Night Out will be held on Friday, February 10, 2012 at 7:00 PM in the Library. We will continue our new series of Bible Studies entitled “The Fragrance of Christ – Twelve Transforming Characteristics of Jesus“. Our second lesson will be “The Fragrance of Forgiveness“. What better way to celebrate Valentine’s Day and show your love than by forgiving someone who has hurt you! We will have a relaxing, candlelit night of pampering (using all chocolate products!), sipping hot chocolate, and enjoying chocolate snacks (non-chocolate alternatives will also be available).

Our goal for 2012 is to look at Jesus and see all that He is and all that He does. If you want the fragrance of Jesus to fill your life so that your sweet-smelling aroma will be pleasing to Him and to the people in your life, join us this Friday as we explore the Scriptures and share in sweet fellowship together. We hope to see you this Friday night! (The first nine ladies to RSVP to Patty Just will get a special chocolate pampering package!)

Alliance Men’s Breakfast

The next Men’s Breakfast meeting will be held on Saturday, February 11, 2012, at 8:00 AM at the church. In addition to great food and fellowship, the men will continue their study of the book “A Man of God” by Jack Graham.

Missions Trip to Mexico

Any regular attenders at Faith Alliance Church age 16 or older who are interested in participating in a missions trip to Mexico from August 6-13, 2012, please see Gary Brosvic. The group will fly from Philadelphia. The approximately cost of the trip is $950.00 (including airfare). There are no required inoculations, although a current tetanus shot is recommended.

Those who are going on the mission trip need to give their paperwork and a $100 deposit to Gary Brosvic by no later than Sunday, February 5, 2012. Also due is a copy of your passport or a receipt that shows you have applied for a passport.

Open House Prayer Time

The church will be open every Saturday from 8:00 – 10:00 AM for anyone who would like to come and pray. There will be no formal leader, and you are free to stay for as little or as long as you like. Bring your Bible and a notebook if you wish, and just sit in God’s presence as you slow down from the past week and prepare for the week that is approaching!
