Our Missionary to Namibia

Robin Anderson

Robin Anderson

The first missionary to be sent from Faith Alliance Church is Robin Anderson, currently serving in Namibia, Africa.  Robin grew up in South Jersey and has been attending Faith Alliance for nearly three years.  Robin serves with Youth For Christ in Namibia and has a heart for those affected by AIDS.  She works with children and youth in schools, hoping to prevent the spread of AIDS.  She is praising the Lord for recently blessing her with transportation, which is very important to her ministry.  When Robin is not serving Christ in Africa, she enjoys singing with the worship team and spending time with her friends.

Prayer Requests for This Week:

PRAYER NEEDS:  A Message from Robin Anderson

Sunday, October 25, 2009

Greetings team,

My what a week it has been and I am truly looking forward to the new week. I am thankful that His mercies are new every morning, I don’t know where I would be without them. Truly. Please join in praying for the following:

#5. My visa has expired, I am walking a fine line. The current status is “approved, but not yet written”. Which means minds could change and I will need to leave. Please pray that God would release the paperwork this week. I need that documentation to visit the prisons here and get the necessary security clearance.

#4. The elections are only a month away and as Timon from The Lion King would say.”It starts!” There has been no violence but the intimidation and the political hate speeches have begun. Namibia cannot afford on so many levels to lose its stability. (I know, sad when one is reduced to quoting an animated movie)

#3. I need some wisdom and direction as I began to plan for next year and make some personal decisions.

#2. The oppression here right now is not just the heat. Not only for YFCN, but for other ministries as well. I am believing that means we are on the path to break through, but holding on is difficult.

#1. I know this seems trite, but my internet has been really giving me problems and that means communicating has become difficult. I will preserve with slow, even incredible slow, but having the connection is huge.

May the God of peace rule and reign in your hearts and minds.

Robin
